MISSIONS
Mt. Olivet is deeply committed to supporting our community and those in need. We welcome support in the form of time, talent or donations. Mt. Olivet Baptist Church is involved in ongoing missions projects such as:
Bland Ministry Team
Each July, one of our mission teams partner with the Bland Ministry Center serving the people of Southwest Virginia and southern West Virginia. The group serve a range of mission projects from building handicap ramps and completing home repair projects to painting or spring cleaning for elderly citizens. There are also options for those who would prefer to stay on the ministry center campus by assisting in the clothes closet or food pantry.
Operation Christmas Child
Year round, we collect items for Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan's Purse, which delivers millions of gift-filled shoeboxes to boys and girls around the world.
Women's Mission Union (WMU)
Missions discipleship is for everyone — from preschoolers to adults. WMU provides resources for all ages designed to help you make disciples of Jesus who live on mission.
We invite you to discover an active, authentic faith through our biblically-sound learning opportunities and meaningful missions experiences.
Clothesline and School Supply Giveaway
Each year, the Clothesline and School Supply Giveaway is held in August supporting our community with much-needed items. Children must accompany an adult to receive the school supplies. We accept donations of clean, like-new clothing, shoes and household.
