What’s here for children and youth?

For Your Children, Infants through Grade 5 Children will discover an array of opportunities at Mt Olivet:

The Children’s Ministry at Mt. Olivet is committed to walking in partnership with children and their families as they grow in faith and relationship with Jesus.

Sunday Mornings

Sunday School classes for each age group are provided for preschoolers and children.

We provide a crib and toddler nursery provided during Sunday School and Sunday worship services in Room 100.

Children’s Worship

Your children (Age 3 – Grade 1) are invited to be with you in the sanctuary for the first part of the 11:00 worship service.

After about ½ hour, these children are dismissed to go with Karen Morris (one of our interim children’s ministers) to Room 103. Children will experience worship on their level, including prayer, Bible stories, music, crafts, etc.  After the worship service, you are invited to go to Room 103 to pick up your child.

A nursery is available for babies and toddlers in Room 100. Children learn about God’s love for people everywhere, whether here in our own county or in a foreign nation. They learn about missionaries who go to different places in our state, our nation and our world to tell people about God’s love and forgiveness and desire for a personal relationship. They also participate in age-appropriate mission projects, teaching them the importance of helping other people for Jesus’ sake.

  • Preschoolers (Age 3 – Grade K) attend a small group that is called “Mission Friends” in Room 103
  • Girls (Grades 1 – 5) meet together as a group called “Girls in Action” or GAs in Room 102.
  • Boys (Grades 1 – 5) meet together as a group named “Royal Ambassadors” or RAs in Room 206
