children's ministry

What We Believe God Has Called Us to Do

Helping our children come to KNOW Jesus Christ, GROW to be like Him, and GO serve Him.

Specifically, we believe that God has called us, in partnership with parents, to help our children:

  • KNOW the Word of God deeply and the Lord Jesus personally
  • GROW to be like Jesus together and
  • GO serve Him in their homes, church, school and community.

How We Believe God Would Have Us Accomplish the Mission

In order to accomplish the mission God has given us, this ministry will be guided by the followng core values centered around the word GOSPEL to remind us that it is the essence of who we are and what we do.

God-centered environment

Others to serve

God-centered environment: We commit to a God-centered focused ministry. "God commands us to teach the scriptures to our children" (Deuteronomy 6:7)

Others to serve: We commit to an atmosphere of service where we encourage and equip children to serve others in their families, in their schools, in our church and in the community. "God commands us to use our gifts to serve others" (1 Peter 4:10)

Scripture: We commit to equip them to know God's word. "The scriptures make one wise for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ" (2 Timothy 3:15)

Prayer: We commit to praying both with and for our children. God calls us to be constant in prayer" (Romans 12:12)

Equipping ministry: We commit to collaborate in partnership with parents and volunteers, and to assist, lead, counsel, support and train them for the purpose of disciplin children and building community. "Jesus commissioned us to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them all that He has commanded" (Matthew 28: 19-20)

Love: We commit to valuing each child and the unique personalities God has given them and encouraging them to do the same with one another. "God commands us to love one another" (1 John 4:7 4:19)
