Rev Dale Ashley

Pastor

Dale began serving as pastor of Mt Olivet in August of 1997.  He is a graduate of University of Richmond and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.  He has served three full-time churches since 1980 when he was ordained as a minister.  The goal of his ministry is to help others grow in the likeness of Christ and in their involvement with the work of God’s Kingdom here in this world.

Clauda

Mrs. Claudia Phillips

Music Minister

Claudia Phillips has served as music minister, first as a volunteer and then as a part-time paid staff member, for nearly 23 years.  She is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth of Virginia and most recently of the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music. She directs the sanctuary choir and the bell choir and helps to resource the praise team and other music groups within the church.

Cindy

Mrs. Cindy Weston

Youth Minister

Cindy is a part-time youth minister here at Mt. Olivet.  Cindy became youth minister in 2005 and has spent the last 8 years here following her calling from the Lord to help lead youth to know and love the Lord Jesus Christ.  She leads the youth in grades 6-12 in Bible study, fellowship and outreach activities,  and mission projects.  Cindy is also a full time teacher in Hanover County Public Schools where she has 28 years of teaching experience.

Mrs. Shirley Mills

Secretary

Shirley Mills is more than a church secretary.  She is more than the kind voice who answers the phone.  She is a trusted member of the staff who very competently helps our church family communicate with each other and network resources.   Shirley has been serving our congregation for nearly 30 years.

Mrs. Felicia Taylor

Children's Minister

Felicia Taylor is the newest member of our ministry team at Mt Olivet.  She serves as our Children’s Minister and works with children from birth until they enter Middle School (6th Grade).  Felicia is currently a student at Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond where her study focuses educating children in such a way that they will have every opportunity to embrace a faith that is their own!
